integrative psychiatry
Integrative Psychiatry blends traditional mental health care with holistic and evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive support for your well-being. At its core, this approach recognizes that mental health is deeply connected to physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Our team of experienced professionals works collaboratively with you to develop personalized treatment plans that consider all aspects of your life. We focus on healing the whole person. By integrating therapies such as medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle adjustments, we empower you to find lasting balance and resilience on your journey to mental and emotional wellness.
Integrative Psychiatry: Initial 60-Minute Psychiatric Evaluation
During your first integrative psychiatry visit, your clinician will conduct a comprehensive review of your medical, psychiatric, psychosocial, and family history. A thorough medical history is essential, as physical health can significantly impact mental well-being. In this session, you will discuss in detail your reasons for seeking treatment, and a personalized treatment plan will be developed, which may include medications, lab work, psychotherapy, nutrition, and mindfulness practices.
Integrative Psychiatry Follow-Up: 45-Minute Psychotherapy + Medication Management
During this dual-purpose, bi-weekly follow-up session, your clinician will adjust and refine your medication regimen as needed while also engaging in intensive psychotherapy. The guiding principle for psychotropic medications is to use the lowest effective dose that successfully alleviates your mood symptoms. In terms of psychotherapy, your clinician may use a variety of treatment modalities, including psychodynamic or insight-oriented therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, inner child work, and journal therapy.
Integrative Psychiatry Follow-Up: 30-Minute Psychotherapy + Medication Management
This follow-up session is specifically tailored to address any medication management or therapy concerns you may have. Your clinician will thoroughly review your mood symptoms and psychopharmacologic treatment plan, making any necessary adjustments to your medication regimen. Supportive psychotherapy will also be provided to ensure a holistic approach to your care.
